About  Diane Schneider
Diane is a former Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music student who became the first music director of the Shaker Village at  Pleasant Hill, Kentucky. Dr. Schneider was also an attorney for physically and mentally disabled persons for 10 years. She moved to Canada for a Ph.D. in Theology and a career as a professor of theology. While serving as a pastoral theologian and chaplain in Toronto, she began to use the harp with hospitalized patients, and is now a full-time harpist, teacher, researcher, and concert-lecturer in vibration medicine and therapeutic harp.

"Peace of body, mind, and spirit is the purpose of my clinical work and research as Therapeutic Harpist at Franciscan Skemp Medical Center, a Mayo Systems hospital and clinic in LaCrosse, WI.

"I use certain harp vibrations to resonate with, or 'entrain', a patient's own cellular rhythms to help release tense muscle tissue, calm anxiety, improve digestion, induce restful sleep, increase endorphins for pain management -- to aid the body's own efforts to heal itself."
